Women into Leadership Awards

15th October 2024 | From 4PM

The annual Women into Leadership conference has established itself as a key personal development event for female Civil Servants.

After thirteen highly successful years, we are delighted to launch the first Women into Leadership Awards to provide an opportunity for individuals and organisations to showcase the success of colleagues and recognise those who have gone out their way to champion inclusion for women within the Civil Service.

There will be awards given in 10 categories, including:

  • Line Manager of the Year
  • Mentor of the Year
  • Mental Health & Wellbeing Advocate of the Year
  • Ally of the Year
  • Women’s Network of the Year
  • Exceptional Programme of the Year
  • Emerging Leader of the Year
  • Inclusive Leadership of the Year
  • Corporate Delivery Solution of the Year
  • Woman of the Year

Why now?

For over a decade the Dods Events team has been delivering outstanding professional development events, designed to encourage women into leadership roles. With many of the women who attended earlier Women into Leadership conferences now holding senior leadership roles within the Civil Service, this seems the perfect time to recognise and reward those individuals and organisations who have dedicated their time and skills to encouraging women to achieve their full potential within the Civil Service.

As well as recognising the many achievements in this sphere, the awards ceremony will offer opportunities for women to network with colleagues from across the Civil Service.

Who will attend?

The Women into Leadership Awards will attract participants made up from:

  • Senior Civil Servants – who have decision-making authority and influence
  • Middle Managers – responsible for implementing policies/operations and initiatives within various departments across the Civil Service
  • Emerging leaders – high-potential individuals early in their careers who show promise for future leadership roles
  • Diversity and Inclusion Champions & HR Professionals – employees with a strong record in promoting gender equality and diversity within the Civil Service

The audiences will include attendees from major Government departments such as HMRC, DWP and DoE along with agencies, public bodies and the wider public sector organisations such as the NHS.
